Leadership

Robert Wingfield

Senior Pastor

Robert (Pastor Bob) is the Founding and Senior Pastor of Woodstream Church.  For over 40 years his passion has been to love God’s people, to provide teachings and messages for growth, and to ensure those in attendance have considered various perspectives on how God is compelling them to live sacrificially.  Pastor Bob’s heart is the children and providing milestones that demonstrate progress along their continuum of spiritual maturity.  He enjoys attending Washington National baseball games and bike riding.

Malcolm Reeves

Executive Pastor

Malcolm has served in ministry at Woodstream in various capacities for over 23 years.  His passion is seeing persons authentically live for Christ, grow in His salvation, and remain focused upon Him in a culture that seeks to compel persons to find gratification in a depraved world. One thing that excites him is seeing persons use their vigor to pursue Christ and allow Him to lead them through their daily living and circumstances.  Minister Malcolm enjoys spending time with his family, biking, and traveling.

Donald Simmons

Minister of Assimilation

Don has been serving in ministry since the winter of 1982, as well as being a member of the Woodstream Church since 1989. God has given the gifts of Evangelism and Exhortation and has placed him in a position where these gifts can be used to the fullest, which includes one-on-one counseling, leading mission trips, Visitation ministry, evangelistic outreaches, or teaching a Sunday School class. He is excited because, over the last 42 years God is still allowing him to share the Good News at any given time.

Brian Edwards

Minister of Marriage and Counseling

Brian is a native of Brooklyn, NY, but has resided in the DMV area since graduating from Howard University. He also served as a deacon and then was ordained as a minister during that time period. Minister Brian has served as the leader of the Marriage and Family Ministry, which includes small group bible studies and couple’s counseling, both premarital and marital. He believes spending time in the Word daily and continual discipleship are the keys to progressive growth in one’s walk with Christ. He has been married for 31 years and has 6 children ranging from 19-29. Brian is an avid basketball and football sports fan, especially of the DC home teams

Manuel Rivera

Manuel accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior on June 22, 1974. He accepted his calling to the ministry in October of 1975. Minister Manuel is an Evangelist and teacher of the gospel. He rejoices in seeing people not only come to Christ, but also growing through discipleship. He enjoys his family and playing golf.

Cedric Brown

Minister of Small Groups

For over thirty years, Cedric has been a member of Woodstream along with his five kids and his wife, Alicia. During these years his primary focus.  has centered on disciple-making and small groups.  Because of his passion for disciple-making, it is his joy to come alongside various members of church to help them grow deeper in their relationship with Christ, and then help them do the same with others. Thus, spiritual generations are born, and the kingdom of God is expanded. Cedric believes that when we share our lives with people, which goes beyond just our knowledge of Christ, but also includes our experiences with Him as well, that others are genuinely able to pick up the aroma of what it means to follow Christ. He believes it's the aroma of Christ that impacts the world.
