“It’s About Your Heart” is a campaign that focuses on Biblical Stewardship and faith development in support of the plans to advance the ministry operation of Woodstream Church.  Effective Biblical Stewardship is the result of understanding God’s ownership and man’s responsibility as a manager of what is entrusted to his individual care, according to God’s values.  Biblical Stewardship is realized as individuals seek the direction of the Holy Spirit regarding the priority use of their time, talent, and treasure.

 Why does the “It’s About Your Heart” Campaign Exist?

In 2009, the “It’s About Your Heart” campaign was started to support Woodstream Church in its phase of development and successfully ran through 2014 raising close to $1 million. Through prayer, guidance from the Holy Spirit, and sacrifice, Biblical Stewardship helped this campaign to succeed and helped to make the church what it is today.

Ground has been broken on our new Family Life Centerand we anticipate opening the doors in fall 2019. Unfortunately, we have learned of some unexpected costs from Prince George’s County that focus on road expansion between Route 202 Landover Road and Lottsford Road.  After several discussions, Woodstream Church will be responsible for an additional $500,000 to meet the demands of this expansion.  Not complying will affect our ability to obtain a permit from the County to even enter the center once completed. Reintroducing the “It’s About Your Heart”campaign provides another opportunity to grow in Biblical Stewardship and faith, as we embark on another great milestone in the life of the church.  Ultimately, the road expansion will improve traffic flow coming in and out of our facilities, which will be a benefit to us and those that need our services the most – our community.

How Can I Help and Participate in the Campaign?

Through prayer and guidance from the Holy Spirit, there are three (3) ways to participate:

1. Pray for Pastor Bob, the people of Woodstream, and the construction of the Family Life Center

2. Be an ambassador and actively support the expansion plans

3. Financially support the facility expansion with a gift over two years(October 7, 2018-October 4, 2020)

Starting on September 30, 2018, you may provide a weekly financial gift in the amount of $15, $25, $35, $50or whatever you are led to give. Monthly paymentscan also be made. See the church office for a pledge card.

Online payments may be accepted by CLICKING HERE. Please enter your Woodstream envelope number and designate “Heart Campaign” in the Memo section.

Mail in or drop off donations to the church office with “Attn: Heart Campaign” on the envelope.  Again, please ensure your Woodstream envelope number and “Heart Campaign” are designated on your check.

Giving to the campaign is NOTin replacement of, but is in addition to your regular tithes and offerings.
